Knucklemaster
First appearance The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (2013)
Species Wallmaster

Knucklemaster is the boss of Skull Woods in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, replacing Mothula from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It is an enormous Wallmaster with exposed muscle tissue wearing a metal gauntlet. Its weak point is the giant eyeball on its palm.

Knucklemaster has two attacks, which are punching at Link from the side and slapping the ground where he stands. To damage it, Link needs to trick it during its punch attack by Wall Merging or using the Tornado Rod, causing it to crash into the wall and become stunned and vulnerable. The more Link attacks it, the more aggressive it gets, using the slap attack more and more times consecutively. The slap attack is difficult to avoid without Wall Merging and also destroys cracked tiles in the floor, limiting Link's movement. After enough damage, Knucklemaster turns purple and angry, now often using the slap attack for the duration of Link's Stamina Gauge. Continuing to take advantage of its punch attack eventually defeats it, opening the path leading to Seres' portrait in the forest.
