Blobs are a version of Buzz Blob without electrical powers. As such, they are completely defenseless and used as a basic enemy. Their only ability is to waddle slowly after Link. They are similar to Zols, Bits, Bots, slimes, and Chuchus in that they are weak slime enemies. They take the Buzz Blob's original solid green color, with Buzz Blobs instead being a sparking yellow when they appear.

History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Blobs appear throughout Hyrule and are a weak enemy, but take more hits than Rats, Keese, or Crows. They usually pop up from the ground when Link nears their location. They are among the only enemies Link can meet before Yuga invades the Sanctuary, as they appear in the Lost Woods before then. Afterwards, they become Hyrule's most populous enemy, though once Yuga takes over Hyrule Castle, this role is instead given to the various soldiers. They still in large numbers in Lost Woods and the group of trees between Link's House and the Blacksmith's Forge.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, Blobs appear as they do in A Link Between Worlds, appearing in the Woodlands and Riverside. They are encountered in large numbers interspersed with Buzz Blobs, though in many cases Blobs themselves are replaced with Buzz Blobs for Drablands Challenges. They also appear on the first floor of the Den of Trials.
