The ball-and-chain-wielding Lorule Soldiers[citation needed] are late-game enemies in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, appearing solely in Lorule Castle and the Advanced stage of the Treacherous Tower. They act like the Spear-Throwing Soldiers spawned by Yuga in Hyrule, but are stronger with burning flails. They are always encountered in dark rooms, with the flails acting as a light source as they swing. Two are encountered in Lorule Castle, neither of which respawn. The first is as a generic enemy in a skull-filled room early on, and the second is fought as a miniboss (with normal boss music) in a small maze that is only visible in the dark. They wear distinctive helmets with many spikes and a glowing purple eye hole.
