In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Malon lives on Lon Lon Ranch with Talon and Ingo. Due to Talon's laziness, Malon and Ingo are responsible for most of the farm work. During her childhood, Malon uses "fairy boy" as a nickname for Link. Malon has a more prominent role as a child than as an adult, as her role is optional for the latter.
