Spikes are urchin-like enemies in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, where they appear solely in the Water Temple as one of its common enemies. They slowly roll along the ground after Link to damage him with their many metallic needles. If they are attacked with one of Link's weapons, including the Hookshot or Deku Nuts, the needles retract and the Spike becomes inert and rock-like for a short amount of time. In Master Quest, they have become far more uncommon, with there only being three of them in the dungeon. However, three have also been added to the Gerudo Training Ground.

In The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, mines are given the same graphics as Spikes, but there otherwise are no similarities.
