Darknut Sword

Revision as of 20:09, June 13, 2021 by Doc von Schmeltwick (talk | contribs) (Mighty Darknuts currently share a page with Darknuts due to the fuzziness of the actual distinction, and I'm honestly not sure what to do about Dark Darknut. It and Dark Aeralfos are the only "Dark" troop captains to appear in Legend mode AFAIR, but all sorts of them appear in Adventure Mode and there's not really much of a functional difference.)

Darknut Swords are a type of sword specifically wielded by Darknuts and Mighty Darknuts. They first appear in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Darknut Swords are a powerful enemy weapon which Link can briefly carry around by either counterattacking or defeating a Darknut or Mighty Darknut. Darknut Swords can knock down certain pillars, which reveals Hearts, Rupees, or Arrows. Because Darknut Swords are heavy, Link uses both hands to carry it around. Their weight also causes them to fly a short distance and take slightly longer for Link to swing around. Like other enemy weapons, Link cannot carry a Darknut Sword between rooms.

Hyrule Warriors[edit]

In Hyrule Warriors, Large Darknut Swords are a Silver grade material dropped by Darknuts and Dark Darknuts. They are designed after the generic type of sword used by Darknuts in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
