Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
In Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Link finds a hammer at Spectacle Rock. It is one of only two items found outside palaces, and the hammer is used to destroy four boulders located around the land map. It can also destroy forest tiles, and is used to find the Hidden Town of Kasuto.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the hammer is found after defeating Phantom Ganon in the Forsaken Fortress. It has been redesigned to have a skull motif on the head and and is known as the Skull Hammer in the English version. It acts much like the Megaton Hammer from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, except it produces shock waves.
