Difference between revisions of "Hammer"
(From Japanese text (https://www.glitterberri.com/adventure-of-link/retranslation/) it seems the hammer may have been intended to be the Sacred Hammer, matching some of the other "sacred" items, though the manual forgets about it and the English version drops the mention entirely. (Skull Hammer is also intended to be one but needs looking into if it should be merged with Magic Hammer.)) |
(Removing Skull Hammer for now since I didn't realize it had an article; adding Magic Hammer from Tri Force Hammer, which also seems to be a misnamed hammer.) |

History
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
In Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Link finds a hammer at Spectacle Rock. It is one of only two items found outside palaces, and the hammer is used to destroy four boulders located around the land map. It can also destroy forest tiles, and is used to find the Hidden Town of Kasuto.
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
In The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, the hammer is found in Mutoh's Temple. It is used to pound certain puzzle objects, as well as to defeat the boss of the dungeon, Eox. It is one of the strongest weapons in the game.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
In The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, the hammer is found in Ravio's Shop. It serves as a replacement for the Magic Hammer from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and is similarly used to progress through the Tower of Hera. If purchased, it can be upgraded into the nice hammer by returning ten or more lost Maiamais to Mother Maiamai.
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes
In The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, the hammer is mistakenly known as the Magic Hammer in the English version. It acts much like the nice hammer from the previous game.
Hyrule Warriors Legends
In the A Link Between Worlds DLC Pack of Hyrule Warriors Legends, the Hammer appears as an Item Card on the Lorule Map.
