Hollow Mimics, previously known as Arm-Mimics, are large, hard-hitting haniwa sculptures that copy Link's movements in reverse.
History[edit]
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Hollow Mimics appear in the Dream Shrine and Turtle Rock. Despite their unassuming appearance and behavior, they have absurdly high attack power, dealing three full hearts' worth of damage on contact. Additionally, they cannot be damaged from normal swings from his initial sword, though Spin Attacks and dashing from the Pegasus Boots can. In the Magnifying Lens' cave, there are some that are invisible until he obtains the lens, though they can still cause and receive damage.
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Ages[edit]
In both The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, Arm-Mimics appear as occasional dungeon enemies, being in Poison Moth's Lair in the former and Moonlit Grotto and the Ancient Tomb in the latter. They act mostly the same as before, but their damage output has been lowered to a single heart and they are not as sturdy.
