History
The Legend of Zelda series
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Gohma Eggs are white and red. They appear on the ceiling of a round room in the basement inside the Deku Tree, falling if Link walks close enough and hatching into a Gohma Larva on impact. If Link uses the Fairy Slingshot to hit them before they fall, they will be destroyed and the Gohma Larvae will not appear. Later in the battle against Gohma, it can lay Gohma Eggs if not attacked quick enough once it climbs back up to the ceiling. In Master Quest, Gohma Eggs appear throughout the dungeon and can be found attached to walls and on the floor, making it easier to target them with Navi and destroy them with other items like Deku Nuts. Additionally, a few have been added to Dodongo's Cavern.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Gohma Eggs are beige and only appear in the battle against Armogohma, who lays them in large amounts from the ceiling. This time, they hatch into Baby Gohmas. Once Armogohma's main body is destroyed, it releases a large amount of Gohma Eggs, which surround the remaining eye and hatch to guard it.
Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer featuring The Legend of Zelda
In Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer featuring The Legend of Zelda, Gohma Eggs resemble a closed eye surrounded by bright green mucus. They are laid by Gohmaracas to hatch into Gohmaracas Larvae, but can be destroyed prematurely if attacked quickly enough after they are spawned.
