Warship

Warships, alternatively known as Cannon Boats,[1][2] are small enemy ships with a large cannon mounted in the center, from which they shoot bombs. They can be defeated through repeated shots with the player's own cannon, but are far more durable than most other enemies that can be dealt with this way.

The Legend of Zelda series[edit]
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Warships appear around a few islands. They have no figurine, but Tingle has comments on them. They usually appear in groups of two or three, and patrol the waters slowly, occasionally firing when Link is nearby. They continue to point at him even when he is on land. Warships can be sunk with three hits from bombs. When a Warship is sunk, it usually drops a treasure that can be pulled up with the grappling hook. Near Needle Rock Island, there is a unique one with golden armor plating that carries a Triforce Chart.
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Cannon Boats are more streamlined in design and slightly larger to compare with the size of the SS Linebeck. They also move quicker and no longer drop treasures. They can be found in every sea. They patrol a wide area irregularly, and take five cannon shots to sink. In the Southwestern Sea, one is found northeast of Molida Island. In other seas, they are always encountered in pairs, accompanying a Pirate Ship, which acts as essentially a more dangerous version of them that does drop treasures. Due to their random movements, it is possible for them to happen upon the SS Linebeck after it has held perfectly still for a while.
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Cannon Boats are unique to the Ocean Realm, with Tanks taking their role elsewhere. As with tanks, they appear in select locations, accompanied by the theme previously used for Jolene's ship. Unlike Tanks, which usually appear from over hills, Cannon Boats just seem to fade into existence, likely just due to them having nothing to hide behind. Normally, they appear in groups of three and take two cannon shots to defeat, and unlike most rail enemies, will respawn if the same area is visited shortly after. They again sometimes accompany Pirate Ships, this time when Link has a passenger and no passengers are in the Pirate Hideout.
Hyrule Warriors Legends[edit]
In Hyrule Warriors Legends, a Warship appears on the Forsaken Fortress map, near the portion making up Star Island. The Warship is only decorative, meaning that it has no purpose and function. In Adventure Mode, they are map features of the Great Sea Map and the Master Wind Waker Map, where they can be destroyed via a Cannon Item Card. If not destroyed, special additional rules are added to the scenario to make it harder.
